Scifi Wales is happy to welcome talented author M.G. Harris to its line-up of special guests who will be appearing at Scifi Wales on Saturday, September 5th 2015. M.G. Harris is best known for writing The Joshua Files, a series of teen thrillers which follow a British teenager, Josh Garcia who discovers that he is linked with a secret society descended from the ancient Mayans. Josh is propelled into a world of government conspiracies, secret societies and the lost knowledge of an ancient civilisation. The first book, Invisible City, published by Scholastic Children’s Books UK was the fastest-selling debut book in children’s fiction in the UK for 2008. Seventeen international editions have now been published, including in French, German, Spanish, Polish, Indonesian, Japanese and Vietnamese.
More recently M.G. Harris was chosen by Jamie Anderson, the son of TV legend Gerry Anderson to complete Gerry's final creative project, a book series called Gemini Force One. The book was launched on crowd-funding website Kickstarter, and smashed its £24,350 funding goal ultimately raising £33,463 to fund the project. Shortly after the Kickstarter campaign finished in January 2014, Orion Children’s Books offered M.G. Harris and Jamie Anderson a three-book deal to launch the new action-adventure series.
M.G. will be signing books for fans of both The Joshua Files and Gemini Force One on the day of Scifi Wales and will also be joining Jamie Anderson on stage to give us an exclusive look inside Gerry Anderson's latest action adventure series.
