Retro Arcade

If you remember the joys of stepping foot inside an arcade, then relive the thrill with our very own Retro Arcade at Scifi Wales. All machines are free to play, and ready to transport you back to the golden days of gaming.

Retro Arcade

It's human vs. machine in the ultimate showdown at Scifi Wales. Choose your opponent from a selection of retro arcade machines dating back to the 70's and see if you have what it takes to get your name on the leader board. Yes, we all know the thrill of the arcade, and that is why Scifi Wales has setup a dedicated Retro Arcade gaming area for our event attendees to enjoy. All games are free to play, meaning you don't have to carry a pocket full of coins around with you, just gear up and get set for some serious fun! Only the brave will survive... but everyone will enjoy the thrill of the arcade!

Arcade Games it's human vs. machine

Did you ever travel miles to locate that one travelling fairground... Just to find the arcade... In the hopes that they had your favourite arcade games? The team at Scifi Wales did too, and now we are bringing the fun of the fair to you!

Forget hunting, we have done the hard work for you, and are bringing a retro arcade to Scifi Wales for your enjoyment. Just jump on and off our free play machines throughout the day and enjoy arcade classics such as Star Wars, Robocop, Aliens and Mortal Kombat (these games are subject to change due to hardware failure / breakdown). Why not make some new friends, if your arcade machine is designed for two or more players, they let some other people jump on too and battle each other or the machine until only one survives and then return the following year for a rematch!

Fair Use Policy

Fair Use Policy let others play too

So we realise this is the boring bit, and the bit you don't want to hear! But please do be fair and after enjoying a game or two on your favourite arcade machine, move on and allow the other attendees at Scifi Wales to play the machines too.

Although we don't operate a strict fair-use policy, if the demand for certain arcade machines is high and people are found to be abusing the fair-play policy, you could be asked to move on to give other people a chance of playing too. But do return later in the day and have another go, we aren't evil face-hugging aliens after all... The arcade is provided to be enjoyed by everyone, so please keep this in mind when enjoying the machines yourself.
