Caitlin Blackwood
The Young Amy Pond from Doctor Who
Caitlin Blackwood burst onto our screens at the age of nine after Caitlin was recommended for the role of the young Amelia Pond on BBC's Doctor Who by her cousin Karen Gillan. Caitlin attended rigorous auditions before finally being cast in the role and making Doctor Who history as the first Doctor Who companion to be introduced as a child to both the audience watching and the Doctor (Matt Smith). It was only after the young Amelia Pond appears on screen, that the audience got to see Karen Gillan's "Amy Pond".
In 2014 it was announced that Caitlin had been asked to guest star in the web series Cops and Monsters, set in an alternative future where Scotland had voted yes to independence. In the months that followed vampires, werewolves and zombies begin to come out of the shadows declaring their desire to join the human race.
Please note that Caitlin Blackwood is appearing at Scifi Wales subject to family and work commitments.
